Tactic cards can turn the game upside down – and can be played by either the attacking team or the defending team.

You can only acquire new Tactic cards when in possession. After answering a question correctly, you choose between either advancing the Football up the pitch to your next player (or scoring) or picking up one Tactic card. Regardless of what you choose you keep possession and roll the die once more.

Tactic cards remain hidden from the opponent until they are played, and each team may hold up to two Tactic cards at any time. If an attacking team already holds two cards in their hand and decides to pick up a third, they will have to swap out one of their existing two cards.

They choose which to discard themselves - although they are not allowed to discard the newly drawn card.
