Who is El-Hadji Diouf?
El-Hadji Diouf was a Senegalese winger and forward whose career was marked by both talent and controversy. He began in France with Sochaux, Rennes, and Lens before a high-profile move to Liverpool following his impressive performance at the 2002 World Cup. His time at Liverpool was mixed, and he later played for Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, and Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League. He also had a loan spell at Rangers in Scotland, and later played for Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United in the Championship. Diouf represented Senegal internationally, notably at the 2002 World Cup, and was twice named African Footballer of the Year. However, his career was also punctuated by numerous disciplinary issues and controversial incidents.
