Who is Barry Hayles?

Barry Hayles had a long and diverse career as a striker, spanning both non-league and professional football. He began his career with Willesden Hawkeye before making a name for himself at Stevenage Borough. His impressive performances earned him a move to Bristol Rovers, where he topped the Second Division scoring charts.

Hayles then joined Fulham, where he played a pivotal role in their promotion to the Premier League. He also played for Sheffield United, Millwall, Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City, and Cheltenham Town.

Towards the end of his career, Hayles returned to non-league football, playing for Truro City (on three separate occasions), St Albans City, Arlesey Town, Chesham United, Merstham, and Windsor, often taking on player-coach roles.

Internationally, Hayles represented Jamaica, earning ten caps. His career was marked by his longevity and goal-scoring ability at various levels of the game.
