Who is Les Ferdinand?

Les Ferdinand was a prolific striker who enjoyed a successful career in English football. He began in non-league before making his name at Queens Park Rangers, where his goal-scoring prowess earned him a move to Newcastle United. His time at Newcastle was particularly memorable, forming a potent partnership with Alan Shearer. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Leicester City, and Bolton Wanderers, and had a spell in Turkey with Beşiktaş. Ferdinand earned 17 caps for England and was part of the Euro 96 and 1998 World Cup squads. After retiring, he moved into coaching and football administration, including roles at Tottenham and QPR.
